Terms

These terms cover how we quote for work, how we carry it out, and what we ask of you. They are written to be read, not to catch anyone out.

Quotes

• Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
• A quote given from photographs or a description is based on the information provided. If the job on site is materially different — significantly larger, or with access we were not told about — we will let you know and agree a revised price with you before starting.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise.

Booking and access

• We will agree a date with you in advance. Hedge and garden work depends on the weather, and we may need to move a date at short notice — we will always tell you as soon as we can.
• Please make sure we have safe access to the garden on the day, and that pets, vehicles and anything fragile are out of the working area.
• Where a hedge or boundary is shared, it is your responsibility to have your neighbour's agreement before we cut from their side.

The work

• We will carry out the work described in the quote to a good standard, and leave the area swept and tidy.
• Hedge cutting is affected by the season and the condition of the plant. Where a hard reduction risks leaving bare growth, we will explain this before we cut.
• We take reasonable care to check hedges for nesting birds, which are protected by law during the nesting season. If we find an active nest we will stop work in that area and agree a later date with you.

Green waste

Where the quote includes waste removal, we remove and dispose of the green waste created by the agreed work. Waste that was already on site before we arrived, or non-green waste such as rubble, timber or household items, is not included unless we have agreed it separately in writing.

Payment

• Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise.
• On larger clearances we may ask for a deposit to secure the date.

Cancellation

Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or move a booked date. For cancellations at very short notice on larger jobs we may charge for costs already incurred.
